The “Philippine Open 2019 – 7.5M International Darts Championship” (PO19) takes center stage as the biggest Philippine dart tournament, to date; back to back with the PDC Asian Tour 5 & 6, the leading steel tip dart series in Asia, with a cash prize in every tour of USD 10K (P520K). This historic breakthrough in Philippine darts is set for March 28-31, 2019 at the fully air-conditioned Leyte Academic Center in Palo City, Leyte with a total cash prize of 8.5M.
There are a total of 4 Open events and a Ladies’ Singles in the Philippine Open, and 2 Singles in the PDC Asian Tour. Noteworthy is the generosity of the prize breakdown of up to the top 32 and 64 places and the reasonable entry fees in relation to the total cash prize in each event.
It is anticipated that there will be more International players this year especially with the PDC Tour, where the top Asian players will showcase their skills and talents. By the way, registration for the PDC Tour will be open once tours 3&4 are over by February 16-17 in Japan. This is a totally separate registration under the auspices of PDC Asia.
The Philippine Open is organized by the DOT – Darters of Tacloban led by Cong. Bem Noel and Jun Buling, ably supported by its members in coordination with the NDFP - National Darts Federation of the Philippines.
In the meantime, start your flight bookings while the fares are still reasonable. There are Roundtrip fares from Manila in the range of 4,300 (Air Asia). Secure your vacation leaves – “come hell or high waters, all systems go at wala nang atrasan”, according to the organizers.
There will be a continuous stream of information and updates not only from the existing Facebook uploads, but from a dedicated event website that is being made and a new Philippine Open Facebook for your comments, inquiries and suggestions. Everybody will be well-informed.
Mga Darterong Pinoy, join and be part of another historic breakthrough where memories are made that will forever be cherished and shared. This is the time to sustain the new-found vigor and vitality of Philippine darts. This is the time where new friends and camaraderie are re-ignited - for in the end, “In Dart We Unite”
.
