Ilagan Tops PDC Asian Tour in Taipei with Perfect 9-Darts Out

Updated June 26, 2019
Congratulations, Lourence Ilagan for a Perfect 9-Darts Out finish in front of a worldwide audience. It was a fantastic display and perfection of focus, concentration, and technical skill that brought pride to every Darterong Pinoy. This is another milestone for honor and glory of Philippine darts.

More than the 9-Dart finish, Lourence Ilagan won the championships of the PDC Taiwan Tours 7 and 8. Back-to-back championships that propelled Ilagan, from 3rd place to the top of the Asian Order of Merit. This puts him on track to lead the T4 qualifiers in the Asian Order of Merit to another shot at the World Darts Championship in London this December.

Lourence Ilagan and Noel Malicdem are the only players, both Pinoys, to attain a 9-Dart Finish in the PDC Asian Tours of 2018 and 2019. Malicdem gained 2nd place in the PDC Asian Order of Merit from 5th place, with a back-to-back runner–up finish to Ilagan. The darting community is looking forward to see these two Philippine players take the stage in the World Darts Championship again come December.

The dominating performance of Ilagan and Malicdem did not happen by chance, they strived, worked hard, and set aside the time and the energy to excel. The competitive PDC Asian Tour, the World Darts Championship in London, and as Philippine representatives to the World Cup in Hamburg last month, gave them the experience and the exposure to be more than competitive, if not the best in Asia.
