ABOUT THE COMPOSER
Rommel C. Atienza is an acoustic musician, song writer, and folk singer born and raised in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. Mel is also a music instructor and put up a band music studio called Rhytym and Beat in 1994 where he taught guitar, drums, and keyboards to kids and teenagers. A proud father of four, his children are all into music - skilled at playing almost all sorts of instruments from keyboards, guitar, violin, drums, saxophone, etc. Apart from his passion in music, Mel is a web designer/ developer, video editor, recording artist, graphic artist, photographer, videographer, and dart player.
Mel is the adviser and former president of Darterong Mindoreño, an affiliate of the National Darts Federation of the Philippines, and an avid supporter of the Free Registration Darterong Pinoy Dart Tournament. He placed Top 16 at the 1st P100,00 Bulacan Open National Tournament, and has won several dart championships in his province Oriental Mindoro.
The National Darts Federation of the Philippines sends its sincerest appreciation to Rommel Atienza for composing the song, DARTERO TAYO that voice out the camaraderie and joy in playing darts, and more importantly – that indeed, in darts, we unite.
