Jericho Eguia is a 16 year old cancer patient since 2014, suffering from Leukemia.  The Jericho Eguia Medical Fund Drive is a medical assistance project of the NDFP to Jericho and his family. Jericho completed his 8th chemotherapy session to no avail and continues to suffer severe muscle pain (cancer pains), skin bruises called hematoma on the knees and legs, and small red spots on other parts of his body. His body has become weak and frail to endure future chemotherapy sessions that can harm his other vital organs. Bone Marrow/ Stem Cell treatment is an alternative for survival.

The cost of chemotherapy including blood transfusion amount to P90K per session and this excludes the cost of professional fees, medicines and other miscellaneous fees. The family is already buried in debt. We appeal to the Sambayanang Dartero for compassion and generosity to help Jericho fight his battle against Leukemia. We call on the nationwide dart organizations to support the Eguia family.

Jericho Eguia is the son of a fellow darter, Francis Eguia, a finalist in 2010 Darterong Pinoy, top 4 in the 2010 Summer Dartfest and top 8 in the NDFP Philippine Qualifier to WDC in 2009. As darters, we pause once in a while to extend a helping hand to people in need, not only as our social responsibility but a moral obligation to share - for in darts we unite and in darts we share.
       
       
Following the footstep of the “Tulungan po Natin Sila” fund drive started by the National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP) to help the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda in 2013, wherein a total of P103,000 was raised nationwide and donated to the GMA Kapuso Foundation for Yolanda victims, we are launching the Jericho Eguia Medical Fund Drive to assist the Eguia family in our own limited way for Jericho to have a chance for survival.
