LEONOR LUMABI: FOR THE LOVE OF DARTS

Leonor Lumabi is the latest recipient of the NDFP President’s Award during the Araw ng Parangal of the P200,000 Free Registration Darterong Pinoy held last October 22, 2016 at the Sta. Lucia Mall. 

Leonor or “Ate Leonor” to many, is given recognition for her incomparable love and dedication for darts.  Without any support of a manager or team, Leonor travels mostly by herself to distant cities and provinces to join and show support for NDFP ranking tournaments.  She’s been to tournaments in Baguio, Isabela, Zambales, San Pablo, Bicol, Tacloban, Cebu, Cotabato, Pagadian, Davao, and General Santos, to name a few.

Apart from the places and the people she meets, Leonor has placed in several Ladies Singles events.  Her achievements include a Top 8 spot at the Araw ng Pagadian Open in June this year, Top 16 in both the Manny Pacquiao Philippine Open in GenSan and Adivay National Tournament in La Trinidad back in 2014.  She made it to the Top 4 of the Tulungan Po Natin Sila Tournament 2013 in Zambales, Top 8 in the Cebu Mayors Cup 2012, Top 8 in the Gov. Mendoza Hinugyaw Open 2010 in Kidapawan City, and 2nd Place at the Nom-E Darts Open 2010 in Carmona, Cavite.  Leonor also placed at the Baguio City Centennial Darts Open, Kasadyaan sa Alabel in Saranggani, T’Nalak Festival in Koronadal City, and Mayor Muslim Sema Open in Cotabato City – among others.

Leonor Lumabi is from Quezon City and an employee and active Dart Team member of the National Housing Authority.
