Noel Malicdem, the NDFP top ranked player and back-to-back Chris Sports Darter of the Year in 2016-2017, stunned the darting world with a perfect 9-darts finish in the PDC Asian Tour held in Seoul, Korea last March 10, 2018. The organizers did not expect a 9-darter to happen in the Asian Tour so no cash prize was provided.  With his 9-darter, Malicdem defied all odds and expectations.
This is the first time for a Pinoy darter to ever accomplish a 9-darter via live streaming viewed worldwide.  Philippine darts gained international recognition and respect. The 9-darts out of Malicdem is an inspiration to excel, to be the best that we can be.

Philippine darts as a collective community should rise to the challenge that indeed we can be the best in Asia.  With 10 more legs of the PDC Asian Tour remaining, now is the time to focus and aspire for the top 4 slots of the PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit - to qualify and play for the World Darts Championship in London by the end of the year.

The Asian Tour comes in a very opportune time where our players can have open access to participate compared to the Asian soft tip tournaments where we continue to face road blocks to play.  Preferential admission is given to countries with widespread use of soft tip machines, which we do not have.  The Asian Tour revives our hopes and aspirations - let us take full advantage of this chance as we uplift Philippine darts… and to those that strive, fame and glory awaits.
