NDFP TURNS OVER 50K EGUIA MEDICAL FUND |

 A total of P50,000 was raised since May 2016 for the Jericho Eguia Medical Fund Drive - a medical assistance project of the National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP) to help support the family of Jericho in his on-going battle against Leukemia.
The medical assistance fund was turned over to fellow darter Francisco Eguia, the father of Jericho, last August 11, 2016. In behalf of the Eguia Family, Francis is extending their heartfelt gratitude to all who played a role in making the Eguia Medical Fund Drive a reality and a testament to the camaraderie in arms among darters. In the words of Jericho’s mother, Yolanda: “Kami po ay lubusang nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng tulong“.
Jericho Eguia is a 16 year old cancer patient suffering from leukemia since 2014. The series of chemotherapy sessions have weakened Jericho and he continues to suffer severe muscle pains, skin bruises, and hematoma on other parts of his body. The ultimate alternative treatment is Bone Marrow Stem Cell Transplant. Dominic, the elder brother of Jericho is the possible transplant donor. The prohibitive cost of Bone Marrow transplant is the biggest challenge the family is facing for the survival of Jericho. As Francis said “this is a race against time - hanggang kaya pa ni Jericho physically mag pa-transplant. Pag nanghina na si Jericho mahirapan na mag pa-bone marrow transplant”.
We pray for the best and a successful bone marrow transplant soon for Jericho.
