Congratulations, Prussian Arceño, the new NDFP National Master. Prussian won the Open Singles of the 120K Panagbenga National Darts Tournament last February 21 in Baguio City to attain his 3rd National Open Singles crown and the 13th NDFP National Master Title.

In the finals of the 2016 Panagbenga Open Singles, Prussian Arceño was very focused after two (2) heartbreaking loses for the elusive 3rd Open Singles Title.  Two previous defeats in the finals of the Sangyaw Singles of the 250K Tacloban Open to Boy Ulang and in the finals of the 300K Resorts World Manila Dart Attack to DJ Tongcopanon hardened the resolve of Prussian not to be denied this time.

Prussian, aided by new playing eye glasses, took the lead early on against Boy Ulang in the finals only to see his lead dwindled to a 4-4 tie and a decision leg.  The pressure was on and the ghost of the past is beginning to awaken.  But Prussian started first, steadily delivered, and won the decisive leg.

Fortunately, Prussian Arceño was playing in Baguio City where he won his two previous Open Singles Titles - the 100K Panagbenga Open 2013 and 100K Cordillera Darters Association Open in 2014.  Once again Baguio proved magical and captivated Prussian to finally win his 3rd Open Singles and the National Masters Title.

Prussian joins the elite group of 12 National Masters since 2005 composed of Christian Perez (18 titles), Lourence Ilagan (13), Boie Parfan (13), Dixie Ibanez (7), Boy Gionson (6), Bong Gabiana (6),  Jojo Barellano (5), Andy Villamor (4), Toto Andrade (4) Dolreich Tongcopanon (4), Bert Lozano (3) and Noel Malicdem (3).

While eagerly waiting in the sidelines are 8 players with 2 Open Singles Titles and aspiring to be the next National Master – Ricky Mijares, JP de Tablan, Ray Sevillo, Wili Omli, Edward Santos, Boy Chucas, Elmer Maranan, and Bobot Tobianosa.
