ILAGAN, TOYLO, NEBRIDA SECURE SPOTS IN THE 2025/26 PDC WORLD DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP

The Philippines will once again be well-represented on the global stage as Alexis Toylo, Lourence Ilagan, and Paolo Nebrida have all qualified for the upcoming 2025/26 PDC World Darts Championship, which kicks off on December 11 at the Alexandra Palace in London, England.

The road to qualification was filled with both consistency and resilience for the Filipino darters. Toylo and Ilagan first secured their World Championship berths by finishing first and second, respectively, in the PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit. Their strong campaigns across the Asian circuit showcased their scoring power and tournament experience, cementing their positions among Asia’s elite.

At the recently concluded 2025 PDC Asian Championship, the pair reinforced their dominance. Ilagan emerged as Asian Champion, with Toylo finishing as runner-up, once again earning them automatic Asian Qualifier spots to the World Championship. Because both players had already qualified through the Order of Merit, their places as Asian Qualifiers were awarded to the next players in line. That paved the way for Hong Kong’s Man Lok Leung (6th in the Order of Merit) and the Philippines’ Paolo Nebrida (7th in the Order of Merit) to claim the two available berths.

With three representatives, the Philippines boasts one of the strongest Asian contingents in this year’s World Darts Championship.

The PDC World Darts Championship remains the pinnacle of the sport, bringing together the finest players from across the globe in a battle for the prestigious Sid Waddell Trophy and a prize fund running into millions of pounds.

For Filipino darts fans, the success of Ilagan, Toylo, and Nebrida is not only a source of pride but also a sign of the Philippines’ growing stature in international darts. As the countdown to December begins, the nation will watch with anticipation as three of its finest talents step onto the world’s most iconic darts stage.
