Alexis Toylo is set to arrive in Germany today for the BetVictor World Cup of Darts scheduled from June 27 to 30 at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt.

Toylo topped the PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit after winning Tours 7 and 9 in Manila and secured his top spot after placing second in Tour 10 and winning Tour 11 in Penang, Malaysia. This will be Toylo’s first time on the PDC World Stage.

Toylo will pair with pro-tour cardholder Christian Perez who will make his fourth appearance in the World Cup of Darts since 2012. Perez has been playing in the PDC Players Championship events in the UK and Germany since obtaining his UK Sportsperson Visa in February this year.

Last year, the Philippines represented by Lourence Ilagan and Christian Perez surpassed the Group Stage after defeating Singapore and the Czech Republic. They eventually succumbed to Peter Wright and Gary Anderson of Scotland, 8-5 in the Second Round (Knock-out Stage).
The 2024 World Cup of Darts will follow the same format in 2023, with forty teams in participation. The top four teams will be seeded to the second round, with the other 36 competing in a group stage of twelve groups of three, with once qualifying from each group. The total cash prize is £450,000.

Best of luck to Alexis Toylo and Christian Perez at the World Cup of Darts!
