PEREZ MAKES HISTORY AS FIRST FILIPINO PDC TOUR CARD WINNER

Congratulations, Christian “The Titan” Perez for securing a 2023 PDC Tour Card from the recently concluded PDC UK Qualifying School in Milton Keynes.

Perez of Robson-Koronadal City joined the PDC 2023 Qualifying School in UK from January 9 to 15 coming from his 4th appearance at the World Darts Championship in December. With hard work and brimming with determination, Perez made waves on the 1st day of eliminations and immediately secured himself a spot in the Finals Stage.

Perez started strong and reached the semi-finals of the 1st event of the Finals Stage putting him on rank number 4 of the UK Q-School’s Order of Merit. He was gutted in the next two events landing him on rank 9 and eventually rank 18 at the close of the 3rd event. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Perez redeemed himself in the last event of the Finals after battling it out until the Top 16, earning him enough merits to land on the 9th order under the UK Qualifying School, and secure a 2023 PDC Tour Card.

Perez, the 1st PDC Asian Champion, made another mark in history by becoming the first Filipino dart player to ever win a Tour Card at Q-School. He is the fourth Asian to receive a PDC Tour Card after Royden Lam, Haruki Muramatsu, and Kai Fan Leung.

In an interview after his match that secured his Tour Card, an emotional Perez thanked his sponsor, Robson Sportscraft, his family, and friends who have supported him relentlessly throughout his Q-School journey and for helping his Tour Card dream come true.

The National Darts Federation of the Philippines congratulates Christian Perez for his achievement in the PDC Qualifying School and extends its gratitude to both the local and international darting communities for rallying behind him all the way. The NDFP hopes that Perez’s accomplishments will inspire fellow Filipino darters, young and old.
