The race for the Chris Sports Player Darter of the Year (DOTY) is heating up as the Q2 2025 standings reveal a tightly contested leaderboard featuring the country’s most elite darters.
Lourence Ilagan’s top rank highlights a consistent and dominant run through the first half of the DOTY calendar. With 300 points, he edges out long-time national leader Noel Malicdem (Pasig City), who holds second place with 280 points. Malicdem, a fixture at the top of the National Player Rankings, continues to be a major contender in the DOTY race as well.
Not far behind is Christian Delos Reyes (Manila), who sits in third place with 275 points, just five points behind Malicdem. His consistent podium finishes make him a strong candidate to overtake the lead in the coming months.
Jhay Doria (Mandaluyong City) claims 4th place with 225 points, followed closely by Aris Quijano (Cagayan De Oro City) with 220 points, underscoring Northern Mindanao's growing impact in national darts.
Gilbert “Boy” Ulang of Pasig City maintains solid form at 6th place with 210 points. A tie in 7th place features Alexis Toylo (Cagayan De Oro City) and Mark Lumilang (Sumilao, Bukidnon), each with 190 points - a testament to the talent brewing in Mindanao.
Paolo Nebrida (Subic, Zambales) is 9th with 185 points, while Bobby Geba (Negros Escalante) rounds out the top 10 at 175 points.
The top 3—Ilagan, Malicdem, and Delos Reyes—are locked in a fierce battle for DOTY supremacy. Mindanao and Northern Luzon are well-represented in both the top 10 and emerging ranks, showing strong grassroots development.
With numerous ranking tournaments still to come before the final DOTY awarding, the title is far from decided. Fans can expect more shakeups, breakout performances, and perhaps a few surprises as the race to the 2025 Darter of the Year title intensifies.
