The National Darts Federation of the Philippines (NDFP) proudly proclaims John Ray Sajol of GMD-ZSDC-SPV as the Chris Sports Darter of the Year 2025, honoring a season defined by determination and a remarkable late-year surge.
From Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, the NDFP National Master staged an impressive rally in the third and fourth quarters, steadily piling up ranking points when it mattered most. After sitting third overall in the third quarter, Sajol surged past Christian Delos Reyes, finishing the year on top with 595 ranking points.
Sajol’s strong finish placed him ahead of a highly competitive field, including Jhay Doria (525), Lourence Ilagan (520), Christian Delos Reyes (515), and Marion Omac (510)—underscoring the tight race and the significance of his late-season consistency.
The Chris Sports Darter of the Year award is part of the NDFP’s Player Recognition Program conceptualized in partnership with Chris Sports, aimed at distinguishing the player with the most NDFP ranking points at the end of a calendar year. The award recognizes excellence, resilience, and impact on Philippine darts. In 2025, Sajol embodied all three, capping off a championship-caliber season worthy of the sport’s honorable individual recognition.
